The PC/ABS (Polycarbonate / acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene)is a mechanical alloy or blend  between PC and ABS, with an amorphous structure. This material offers the most desirable properties of the ABS and the PC by a unique combination which adds the high processability of ABS with excellent mechanical properties,  resistance to impact (until -30°C ) and heat properties (temperatures between 95 e 125°C) of the PC. The balance of the properties of the PC/ABS is given by the proportions of the two components of the mixture (which determines their final characteristics), by the molecular weight of the polycarbonate and by the additive package. The ratio between polycarbonate and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene mainly affects the heat resistance of the final product.


PC/ABS qualitative properties: excellent HDT, impact resistance at low temperatures, stiffness, thermal resistance, fireproofness, greater stability in processing  than ABS, UV resistance greater than PC, excellent appearance, low shrinkage.

Natural or Compound types of colored PC/ABS (RAL, Pantone or sample references) for injection molding.
The grades differ each other in thermal resistance, fluidity and type of application:

  • T45 : high moldability, moderate toughness, heat grade Vicat B 110÷120
  • T65 : good moldability, excellent toughness, medium heat grade Vicat B 120÷130
  • T85 : moderate moldability, excellent toughness,  high heat grade Vicat B ≥ 130

Available in various versions:

  • F: improved melt index grade;
  • UV: improved UV resistance;
  • Y: UL94 homologated (on request and where available);

or, if possible, with a combination of the above characteristics.

Coloring : Full Compound or Dry Blend (SPL).

Natural or Compound types of colored  PC/ABS FR (RAL, Pantone or sample references) for injection or extrusion molding of flame-inhibited parts.
The grades differ in thermal resistance and flammability and fluidity class, in order to guarantee excellent molding and high performance.


Available in various versions:

  • F: improved melt index grade;
  • UV: improved UV resistance
  • FV: glass fiber reinforced with different grades;
  • HF: halogen free;
  • EXT: extrusion;
  • Y: UL94 homologated (on request and where available);

or, if possible, with a combination of the above characteristics.

Coloring : Full Compound or Dry Blend (SPL).

Compound types of colored  PC/ABS FR HT (RAL, Pantone or sample references) for injection molding of flame-inhibited parts, especially for the electrical sector. It’ characterized by the high heat grade (VICAT B ≥ 132).

Available in various versions:

  • F: improved melt index grade;
  • UV: improved UV resistance;
  • HF: halogen free;
  • BPT: 125°C;
  • Y: UL94 homologated (on request and where available);

or, if possible, with a combination of the above characteristics.

Coloring : Full Compound or Dry Blend (SPL).

Compound types of colored PC/ABS (RAL, Pantone or sample references) for molding of automotive components.
IMPACT: characterized by improved impact resistance at low temperatures.                                                                                                    

Available in various versions:

  • T65 : medium heat grade Vicat B 120÷130;
  • T85 : high heat grade Vicat B ≥ 130;
  • Y: UL94 homologated (on request and where available).

Coloring : Full Compound or Dry Blend (SPL).

Natural or Compound types of colored  PC/ABS FV (RAL, Pantone or sample references) glass fiber reinforced with different grades, for injection molding of parts requiring a greater rigidity.

Available in various versions:

  • FV 17;
  • T88 FV 10; 
  • T88 FV 13; 
  • T88 FV 20;
  • Other grades available on request and if possible.
